excellent service would stay again when travelling to north wales

  • Older travelers

A warm welcome and a good base from which to explore North East Wales. Walking distance to Erddig. Good quality products used in the cooked breakfast and hearty portions.

Only basic cleaning done in the bedroom, the furniture is obviously never moved. The sink is in the bedroom and not part of the en-suite. The mattress was in need of replacement. Wrexham has no merits as a destination, so use the hotel only as base to explore the environs.

    The owner respect and hospitality

  • Single

The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. It was very welcoming, and breakfast was wonderful.

  • Couple

Location was good only 10mins walk into the town.

The hotel was a bit dated and old fashioned.

  • Family with children

The owner is an old man, very friendly and nice.

The hotel needs a renovation; it is ok but very old style

  • Group of friends

cheap and near event we were at

Cheap, so didnt expect too much, but it is rather shabby and a throw back to the 70s. Furniture in room ancient, paint on window in bathroom pealing, grubby marks on staircase carpet. Crockery in morning the green stuff you get in village halls, not asked if wanted white or brown bread for toast or with eggs.

  • Group of friends

    Friendly service

No hot water (7.30ish) and could not connect to WiFi?

  • Single

An old fashioned hotel in the best sense: a personal welcome, good comfortable accommodation, genuine period furniture and decor, An excellent choice at breakfast time and my preference for starting with hot porridge immediately catered for! Helpful friendly staff and quiet location within easy reach of the town centre. I would recommend it

nice staff , but the WiFi not workings in the room

    the staff are very nice

I had a lovely day in the Belmont. The host John is friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are traditional, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. Thanks very much!

  • Single

John was attentive and welcoming. My queries before the stay were answered promptly by email. Good breakfast.

I would have liked some kind of desk for working at in the room.

  • Couple

Very friendly hotel, rooms really clean and themed! Has a bar open evenings very trusting owners

I couldnt fault the hotel really, but there is no actually reception to check in and out and the bar is only open evenings. We checked in at 3pm but didnt see the owner till 7.30pm when we were goin out no one had told us about the hotel bar so didnt use it.

  • Single

Friendliness of staff and willingness to change a booking at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances (at no extra cost). Large size room.

Price - I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Limited number of different items for cooked breakfast (only 4 - for price of hotel I would have expected better). No packet of biscuits in room!!

  • Older travelers

Good location to meet up with family, reasonably priced with a lovely big English Breakfast. The owner was helpful and even gave us a lift back to the station. The rooms are in need of updating, the room we stayed in the furniture was very old and stuck in a time warp, felt like we were on location in a room for 'Most Haunted', which we did,nt mind as we like that sort of thing, but might not appeal to some people !!
